Meet Tonya, Owner of Like It Marketing
Tonya Parham
“Storytelling has been my passion for as long as I can remember. From filling notebooks as a kid to building a career in marketing, words have always been my superpower. After earning a communication degree, gaining experience in agencies and nonprofits, and working as a social media specialist, I took a leap of faith into entrepreneurship. Now, I’m the proud founder of Like It Marketing, a boutique social media agency helping busy business owners attract clients and boost revenue—stress-free.
Beyond marketing, I’m a God-loving, coffee-fueled wife and new mom, with a Goldendoodle named Autumn keeping life extra fun.”
When did you start your business?
“I started my business in May of 2021”
What do you love most about social media management?
“It's a blend of passion and purpose for me. Writing has always been my superpower. From filling notebooks with songs and stories as a kid to earning a degree in communications, words have been my constant companion.
Creating graphics allows my artistic side to soar, bringing my visions to life in vibrant ways. But the most rewarding part? Hearing from my clients about how much I've eased their stress and saved them time. Knowing that my work makes a real difference for them is truly fulfilling.”
What is one of the biggest accomplishments you have achieved in your business thus far? (Even if it's the smallest win!):
“One of the biggest accomplishments in my business journey so far? Being nominated as one of EMERGE Lakeland's 'Emerging Leaders of 2024.' The Polk Young Professionals Awards is all about celebrating the incredible work of young professionals in our community, and it's such an honor to be recognized among those making a difference in Polk County. This nomination fuels my passion even more!”
What's your favorite feature of the mentorship? (Coaching calls, templates, etc?)
“Definitely the Slack channel! Being able to ask questions and get advice on my business and social media marketing 24/7 is invaluable. It's amazing to bounce ideas off other marketing professionals and gain fresh perspectives. Collaboration at its best!”
What made you join the mentorship?
“I joined the mentorship to expand my knowledge in the ever-evolving world of social media marketing. Connecting and collaborating with other marketing professionals has been a game-changer, and it's all about growing my business to new heights. Excited for the journey ahead!”
