Objection & Answer Series: How To Answer "Can't I Just Use AI to Write Posts?" as a Social Media Manager
Our final part of the Objection & Answer Series is here, where we’ll break down the most common concerns we hear from potential clients, and give you clear, confident ways to respond as a social media manager.
So far, we've answered:
"This is too Expensive / out of Budget."
"Social Media Doesn't Work For My Business"
"I Worked With A Social Media Manager Before & Didn't See Results"
Now, let's get into the newest objection that's been popping up in our discovery calls: AI. More specifically, "Can't I Just Use AI to Write Posts?"
Our Answer:
"Absolutely, you can, and many people do. But AI tools are only as good as the strategy behind them. So I use AI too for a couple of things in my own business, whether it be for reporting for content trends, for forecasting, for really learning how to ask better questions.
So I work with a lot of experts in their field, so I love to ask ChatGPT, can you help me create good questions to ask my new client on the onboarding call, so I can learn what they do? And that's where AI really comes in handy. So it's all about using it as a tool and not as a band-aid when it comes to content creation. You want to have a really built-out strategy."
And that brings us to the final part of our Objection & Answer Series.
Over this series, we’ve tackled concerns about budget, results, past experiences, and now AI. The big takeaway? Objections aren’t roadblocks; they’re opportunities to reframe the stigmas and show your value as a social media manager. But, with that being said, if a client says any of these continuously, take it as a red flag and know that you can always walk away from clients, too. At the end of the day, if it's not the right fit, it's not the right fit.
